AVer teams up with VCfL to provide affordable VC to UK Schools

Taipei, Taiwan – October 8, 2013 – AVer (TWSE: 3669), a major global provider of education solutions, security surveillance solutions and video conferencing solutions, is excited to announce a new partnership with the VCfL (Video Conferencing for Learning) Project to launch the AVer ClassHD (EVC125F) in UK schools. The project has been underway for almost a month and the feedback so far has been excellent.

The AVer ClassHD is perfectly suited to the needs of schools wanting a simple to install, easy to use system providing them with high levels of interoperability and allowing them to video conference securely. The cooperation with VCfL includes offering full on-site installation and curriculum support to advise users how to get the best from their system. Technicians will also receive hands-on support to configure and install the hardware onto their networks and register with JVCS (Janet) booking service. Senior management teams are supported with implementation strategies to ensure that video conferencing is embedded fully into the curriculum. In addition, the AVer ClassHD fully complies with recent guidelines published by the UK Department for Education, advising educational establishments on the use of video conferencing systems.

Since the start of the new school year in early September, the scheme has been rolled out in several schools across the UK, allowing them to link with networks around the globe. Redden Court Havering primary school is linked with a French school, Ardleigh Green Juniors Havering primary school is communicating with NASA in the USA and Chafford School Havering has multipoint connections between a number of schools allowing students to learn about Black history month in many countries. The benefits of this are endless, allowing school children to interact with far-site users without the expensive costs and time constraints of flying a class of pupils around the world. As video conferencing becomes more and more important to education, AVer is proud to develop and supply the systems required to increase the interaction and engagement needed for students to succeed in the 21st century.
