AVer Won 2023 Taiwan Excellence Gold Award with Medical-Grade PTZ Camera MD330U Series

AVer Information Inc., an award-winning video collaboration and education technology solutions provider, received the 2023 Taiwan Excellence Gold Award with MD330U, a medical-grade PTZ camera series. Today, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the award organizer, announced the top honor's ten winners at a Taipei ceremony.

"The competition is getting more intense, with the number of candidates growing fast every year. However, innovation and quality will continue to be AVer's focus, as of our commitment since day one," said Stanley Cheng, Vice President of AVer. "We are utterly honored and will keep the momentum, pushing the boundaries of audiovisual technology and exploring more possibilities. The MD330U Series marks a new chapter for our healthcare business. More applications will be introduced to enhance our lives in the future."

Targeting Telemedicine and live surgery broadcast, the MD330U Series is an instant upgrade to nursing workstations. It offers patients advanced optical imaging near their bedside or on a mobile nursing cart as healthcare professionals do their runs. In addition, the flexible and detachable camera head brings exceptional technologies to the medical frontier, making sharp crystal images standard for clinicians.

This versatile camera features the world's first detachable 8MP handheld camera head and an embedded audio system with a speakerphone. The wide range pan-tilt, 30X optical zoom, and 4K output resolution allow healthcare workers to capture patient images at any desired angle. In addition, the built-in noise reduction detects background noise automatically and keeps it minimal. Two options for different user scenarios are available: an infrared version that supports a night view for patient monitoring in Tele-ICU and an LED version for illumination needs.

The Taiwan Excellence Award program marks its 31st year, and it was established by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs to promote ingenuity in product and technological innovation locally made in Taiwan. Award winners are products that have exhibited excellence above the competition and impressed the judges in four categories: R&D, design, quality, and marketing strategy. A panel of international judges from a broad spectrum of industry and academia participated, and their average scores and inputs determined the 2023 award winners.
