The Ministry of Economic Affairs conducts the selection of Mittelstand Enterprises every two years. The primary objective is to recognize and commend Mittelstand enterprises distinguished by their unique and vital technologies or service models within specific industries, demonstrating exceptional international competitiveness and serving as exemplary models for other enterprises to emulate. A total of 145 companies applied for this year's Taiwan Mittelstand Award, only 10 companies were selected as Mittelstand Enterprises and 52 companies as Potential Mittelstand Enterprises.
