AVerTouch Privacy Policy

AVer Information Inc. built the AVerTouch app as a Utility app. This SERVICE is provided by AVer Information Inc. at no cost with the purchase of AVer Visualizer (Document Camera). The AVerTouch app is intended to be used to manage AVer Visualizers (Document Cameras) only and can’t be used for other purpose.

This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions, which is accessible at AVerTouch unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to User login credentials, visualizer (document camera) related information, your Wi-Fi router and password information, and school location. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

The app does uses open source or third party libraries to implement manage functions to manage AVer Visualizers (Document Cameras), but does not have the ability to collection information used to identify you.

Google User Data

We will use your data to provide you with the services you requested, such as logging into your Google account for Google Drive and Google Classroom usage.
We store your personal information for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes. When the data retention period expires for a given type of data, we will delete or destroy it.
Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data.

AVerTouch application uses Gmail Sign-in to authenticate a genuine user for the application. The application does local validation in the user device itself based on the response received from the Google Sign-in API. It DOES NOT send any user information such as email-id, profile picture, password etc. to any server for verification. Application doesn’t store user password or make use of password. Application stores email-id, profile picture and accessToken in local storage of the application till an ACTIVE user session. Application clears all user data (e.g. email-id, profile picture and accessToken) from local storage up on Sign-out from the application.

Log Data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third party products) on your visualizer (document camera) called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
