AVer introduces rugged full HD 2M IP cameras for harsh outdoor applications

Taipei, Taiwan – December 5, 2012 – AVer (TWSE: 3669), a major global provider of presentation/education solutions, security surveillance solutions and video conferencing solutions, has launched two rugged full HD 2M bullet type IP cameras (network cameras) – SF2121H-BHR-50 and SF2121H-BHR-30 – designed for harsh outdoor environments and regions with long, dark winters.

These all-new IP cameras (network cameras) are outfitted with an IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof housing that can withstand submersion in water up to one meter in depth, and a built-in heater enabling the IP cameras to operate in locations as freezing cold as -40°C. The SF2121H-BHR IP cameras also comply with the stringent requirements of the EN50130 standard for alarm products, ensuring higher surge and electro-thermal resistance.

In addition to robust housing, the SF2121H-BHR-50 and SF2121H-BHR-30 come equipped with IR illuminators with effective IR distances of 50 and 30 meters and mechanical ICR to give users consistently clear imaging all day and all night. Both models offer real-time full HD resolution and implement Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology to minimize the effects of extreme lighting contrasts resulting from backlight or glare to increase the visibility of an image. Likewise, noise resulting from bad lighting is reduced greatly by the cameras’ dynamic denoise function, including the advanced 3D denoise mode which analyses noise across consecutive frames and makes adjustments to achieve clearer images.

The new models come bundled with AVer’s free NXU Lite video management software (VMS) for preview and recording of up to 32 channels. NXU Lite features an advanced alarm notification system, video intelligence functions like intelligent search, motion detection and video encryption, support for over 25 languages, and seamless integration with AVer’s central management systems: CM3000/CM3000 Gold. What’s more, AVer’s iViewer and AndroidViewer mobile applications allow iPhone, iPad and Android smartphone/tablet users to view live camera footage from any location.
