AVer expands its total retail surveillance solution with new P5000 series NVRs and a new mini dome IP camera

Taipei, Taiwan – August 5, 2014 – AVer unveils the new P5000 series of NVRs, the P5036-R and the hybrid P5036-16-R, and the 1-megapixel FD1020 mini dome IP camera (network camera). These new products will give AVer customers even more flexibility to implement the retail surveillance solution that is right for them.

P5000 series NVRs support up to 5 megapixels per channel and a total of 72 megapixels for all channels. They offer excellent preview performance (2M @ 600fps) and an impressive throughput rate of 256 Mbps, recording all 36 channels using tri-codec compression. With 10 hard disk drives providing RAID support (levels 0, 1, 5, 10) and a total of 40TB of memory, they can store more data than ever before, making them perfect for large stores, supermarkets or even malls. If further memory is required 8 of each NVR’s drives can be hot-swapped, allowing users to insert new drives even when the NVR is operating. External storage can also be attached via iSCSI or an e-SATA interface. P5000 series NVRs support direct POS integration through all channels, and can be integrated with up to 1000 other NVRs using AVer’s central management software (CM5000), providing excellent scalability. In addition, 16 of the 36 channels on the P5036-16-R hybrid NVR can support analog cameras, smoothing the transition to IP cameras.

Measuring only 100 mm across and weighing a mere 180 g, the FD1020 mini dome’s small size makes it inconspicuous even while it boasts a range of features to ensure good image quality in poor lighting. Its embedded infrared LEDs guarantee superior nighttime recording, while its Digital WDR (Wide Dynamic Range), 3D & 2D Dynamic Noise Reduction (DNR) and adjustable shutter speed keep images clear when lighting conditions are suboptimal. In addition, the FD1020’s viewing area is wider than that of any previous AVer mini dome, while its embedded microSDHC drive provides backup storage in case its connection is disrupted. What’s more, the FD1020 only takes 4 simple steps to install, saving time and hassle.

The new P5000 series NVRs and FD1020 mini dome IP camera supplement AVer’s previously available range of IP cameras, NVRs and central management software. Together, these products constitute a retail surveillance solution that is easy to use and guaranteed to satisfy customers’ unique requirements.
